My pearnote keeps crashing when trying to close a previous pearnote file. This keeps happening. Every time I open pearnote, it resumes previously opened pearnote files that had crashed. If I try to exit out of the previously crashed pearnote file, the whole application crashes. When I reopen a pearnote file (doesn't matter which one) it resumes the said previously crashed pearnote file. If I exit out of the ones that crashed again, it will yet again crash the program. This leads to a vicious cycle in which there is no way for me to get rid of the crash pearnote files because it automatically resumes the ones that crash. Checking the box labeled "Do not auto-recover documents after a crash" in the preferences doesn't work either-- it auto recovers them anyways.

any help? I tried sending this through the crash report-- didn't seem to go through.

The checkbox disables creating autosave files, but if it's already created it won't do anything. Pear Note (like other apps) keeps its autosave files in your home folder in Library/ . To get there, just open Finder, select Go to Folder... from the Go menu and enter ~/Library/Autosave Information/ . In there you should see one or more unsaved Pear Note documents as well as a file called com.usefulfruit.Pear Note.plist. Quit Pear Note and drag those to the Trash. When you launch Pear Note, it should not recover the old document.

Assuming that solves the problem, I'd love to get a look at the corrupt unsaved document that's causing the crash. If you wouldn't mind emailing it to bugs@usefulfruit.com, I'd very much appreciate it. Note that you'll need to zip it/compress it before emailing it.

The action game is fantastic. You must pay attention to getting over it if you have ever played this game.
