Is it a future possibility to have an option for dumping our notes from in a plain-text (utf-8) format?

I suppose cutting & pasting is an option but it quickly becomes cumbersome, having something inside the app that just dumps/extracts the text to a textfile would be incredibly handy for archiving and turning notes into something else.

You can actually already do this. If you look under File->Export you'll see Export Text. You then get the option to export the text as a rich text file (RTF) or a plain text file (TXT).

    *forehead smack*

Some times it actually helps to check the obvious locations.

    :-)

In any case thanks for all the hard work!

It would be enormously helpful to be able to include timestamps at the beginning of every paragraph. That way, even if someone didn't have PearNote, they could still watch/listen to embedded media and match up the text to the media stream.

I use PearNote heavily for taking notes on interview videos; it'd be great to export my notes, be able to convert into a different format (e.g. Excel, or FileMaker) to sort/tag/group but still be able to go back to the relevant point in the video easily for updates or more details.
