   The sad thing is that Westbrook seems to believe that the best player in the world is him. He was unable to accept any responsibility for the team's shortcomings in his final interview last season. Westbrook has a basketball ego that is very hard to break. Maybe the people at NBA 2K23 can break that ego down a bit but. Ratings for the upcoming game are already coming out, and Westbrook's rating is not that of a star player (which he thinks he is). It's a rotational bench player.

   There was a lot of change in the case of Los Angeles Lakers when the team decided to trade for Russell Westbrook last summer. Los Angeles traded legitimate NBA assets and a first-round pick in exchange for Westbrook in the move that was widely decried during the period. The critics of the trade ended up being correct, because Westbrook was one of the most troublesome players on the team's way last season. The Lakers have found themselves in the position that they'd be better off if they trade Westbrook however, they may have decided to give up on the possibility of doing so.

   The most disappointing thing is that Westbrook appears to still believe he is an elite player. He took no part of the blame for the team's lack of success in his post-game interview last season. Westbrook has an ego in basketball that's difficult to break. Perhaps the folks at NBA 2K23 can break that confidence a bit, though. Ratings for the upcoming game are already coming out and Westbrook's rating is not one of a superstar player (which the guy believes he's). It's that of an average bench player who rotates.

   Russell Westbrook was given an awful 78 percent overall score on NBA 2K23. Russell Westbrook has the fourth-highest 2K23 score on the Los Angeles Lakers. Westbrook is obviously behind both LeBron James and Anthony Davis but he is not far behind his new player as well. TwoK gave Patrick Beverley a 79 overall rating, which is right for the position he's where he is in his playing career.

   The fact that Westbrook seems to think he is still an elite player is the most disheartening thing. When asked about the team's lack of success in last year's postgame interview, he refused to accept any responsibility. Westbrook's ego is hard to get through on the basketball court. However, maybe super mario bros the developers of NBA 2K23 can shake up your confidence a little. The ratings for the next game come out, and Westbrook's don't seem like those of a superstar player (which is what he thinks he is). It's the typical role of a substitute who gets a few minutes of playing time every game.
