Tried demo. Every time I try to add slides, I get this error:
"Only valid Keynote, Powerpoint, or PDF files may be added." These are mix of Office Mac PP 2004 and 2008 version.
Suggestions?

srspring - hmmm. Pear Note uses QuickLook as its backend for converting PowerPoint files. Do the files display properly in QuickLook (if you're not familiar with QuickLook, just highlight the file in Finder and hit the spacebar. A preview of the file should be displayed in a pop-up window)? Are you willing to share one of these files with me, or are they too private? If you're willing, please send it to bugs@usefulfruit.com.
Also, if you wouldn't mind, could you check and see if there are any crash reports in <Home directory>/Library/Logs/CrashReporter that have a filename starting with "Pear Note" or "cranconvert". If they are, could you send them to bugs@usefulfruit.com as well.
What kind of system is this running on? I've tested on a Dual Core 2GHz Macbook, a 1.8GHz Dual Proc PowerMac G5, and a 1.5GHz Powerbook G4 with no problems, but perhaps you're on something different that I haven't seen.
Thanks,

I tried to add slides and received this: "Please make sure QuickLook can display the file through Finder, restart Pear Note, and try again. Also, remember that only valid Keynote, Powerpoint, or PDF files may be added."
What's considered valid? I was trying to insert Powerpoint slides. It's this file kind: Microsoft PowerPoint macro-enabled presentation. The extension: .pptm
Hopefully I gave you enough info. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,

Sorry, that's a bug in Pear Note. It's just getting confused by the pptm extension. I'll fix that in a future release. For now, if you want to import the slides, just rename (or copy the file) and give it a .pptx extension instead. Then it should import fine.

It works! Thank you very much! Does changing the extension affect my files (since I have no idea what those extensions mean)? I showed Pear Note to my classmates, and they liked it. One of my classmates compares it to LiveScribe (another product that looks good, but far more expensive than Pear Note).
God bless,

Great.
As far as the extension goes, .pptx is the standard PowerPoint format introduced in Office 2007 (replacing the old .ppt format). I believe the .pptm extension indicates it is the same format as .pptx, but that it contains macros. By renaming it to .pptx, PowerPoint will likely ignore the macros in the file. So, you might want to rename it back after renaming it.
Yes, I frequently get comparisons to LiveScribe. We share the same core concept (and, oddly, were originally released within weeks of one another). I just believe that software affords many more advantages and allows progressing forward in note-taking capabilities. This is in contrast to building the concept into a pen, which is very limiting (e.g. no search, no slides, no online sharing, etc.).

Problems with PowerPoint 2013 or a shell shockers newer version hanging, freezing or not responding may occur for one or more of the several reasons.

When you first join the game, there are a lot of guys in different colors. They want the same things you do. Time is running out. Up to 32 people can play the game. Every game has its own set of levels. Your character is moved around the game with the arrow keys. Try to run, move, and jump over the different obstacles as quickly as you can. After each round, only a certain number of players are allowed to move on to the next round, and the rest are out. As you go further in the game, it gets harder. Because of this, there will be more problems. The winner is the last person standing.
