It would be nice if the edit menu or font menu had an option to remove all styles from the selected text. Also a preference to always paste just plain text i.e "always paste without styles" would be helpful. Thanks.

What I've done in this situation has been to Copy Style and Paste Style to a text selection that is troublesome. PN has actually introduced me to copy/paste style that I had only been aware of in a limited fashion.

To do this, I will highlight a portion of text that I find to be "neutral". Command-Option-C will add that style into the clipboard. Highlighting the troubled text and Command-Option-V makes it conform.

This is the workaround I have used.
