    I have some lengthy lectures from iTunes U. I would like to annotate them with Pear Note, but I presume importing them would create redundant copies of these big files, eating a lot of disk space.

    Would it be possible to store Pear Note's information in a small "sidecar" file linked to the original lecture?

    If I've misunderstood how Pear Note works, please clarify or point me to the relevant manual section.
