The contents of a folder (as well as the folder) created with the IOS version don't sync with Mac. I am able to sync the files created outside of this folder though but neither folder nor contents show on Mac while they are visible on IOS. Any suggestions as to how to trigger a fresh sync ?
Incidentally, there is a file in there that I'd very much like to recoup - can this be done ?

Hi,
The most likely causes of the problem are:
1) Pear Note is not able to finish syncing before it is quit, loses Internet, etc.
2) Something is going wrong with the sync#1 tends to be the most common problem people have. They're used to syncing little text files that happen very quickly, but Pear Note documents are large and take a long time. You can tell if Pear Note is still syncing by watching the sync button arrows. If they're still spinning, Pear Note's still syncing. I'd suggest trying to leave Pear Note running while on a solid Wifi connection until the arrows stop spinning.
If that's not it, #2 is possible. Could you check to see if there are any messages from Pear Note in the system log when Pear Note for iOS does this? An easy way to check this is to install this app:
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/system-console/id431158981
It's free. Just install it, open Pear Note and try to reproduce the problem, then open Console. If you see any messages from Pear Note, could you send them to me?
Note that there will likely be a bunch of messages from other apps littering this, so you'll probably want to try Pear Note then immediately check this app to make sure any messages from Pear Note are still at the top.
Also, note that if you need to get documents out before solving the problem, you can bypass Dropbox syncing altogether and use iTunes File Sharing (assuming you ever connect your device to iTunes).
If you want to move this conversation to email, feel free to do so.
Thanks,
