OK. This is going to be a weird request but I've found nothing like this anywhere else...
As a teacher, I record LOTS of audio using Pear Note 'cause I never know when an especially well-done teaching moment happens that I want to capture. Unfortunately, this makes for HUGE audio files that I will never be able to keep and which I will never have time to edit down to the really poignant moments I want to keep. Typically, using Pear Note, I put some kind of marker or tag in my notes to let me know that the audio around that spot is worth listening to and/or keeping. Great. However, I still have those HUGE file sizes. I've been looking for a program that will essentially cache audio for a pre-determined amount of time, say 30 seconds, and allow me to record audio from "30 seconds ago" until I say stop.
I would love a way to be able to trim audio (easily and usefully) out of pear note to cut down file sizes, or (and here comes the weird part), howabout giving Pear Note the ability to record audio only when the user is typing (or starting several seconds before the typing started). That way, the file size is kept small, and only the MOST relevant audio is captured?
